Zum Rams Trade:

Genau das hatte ich mir gewünscht, nachdem die Big 3 wegwaren(Hawk, Huff, Davis). So hat man einen früher Pick in Runde 3 bekommen und kann dort vielleicht noch einen sehr guten TE abgreifen.

Zum Hill Pick:
Die Position ist schon mal die richtige
Ich hätte Cromartie bevorzugt, aber kann auch mit Hill leben. bei Cromartie ist das Problem, dass er eine lange Verletzungsgeschichte hat. Die hat Hill nicht, dafür ist er nicht so groß, wie viele andere CB.
Aber er hat auf jedenfall das Potential zum klaren #1 Corner

Es fehlt da ja noch Butler. Ich hofe das die Zeit von Travis Fisher vorbei ist (zumindest als Starter)

Zum Pick selbst:

Er ist von der Statur sicher nicht beeindruckend, aber wer der schnellste in der gesamten Combine ist, kan auch mit 99% der WRs mithalten sowas haben wir gebraucht.

This was a good pick for the Rams and it's where Hill deserves to go. I really like this guy and he reminds me of Antoine Winfield in that he doesn't have great size but he plays like someone who is much bigger. The Rams really needed a great cornerback and Hill can be that guy, although I am not sure Cromartie wouldn't have been a better option because he is taller and has a much higher upside.

There was some discussion before the draft as to whether Hill or Jimmy Williams was the best cornerback of the college crop. Williams hurt himself with some poor pre-draft workouts, and Hill offers blazing speed and outstanding playmaking ability. Jim Haslett, the Saints' new defensive coordinator, will be able to employ Hill's athleticism and considerable skills, especially in tight man-to-man coverage. And that should only help Haslett do the aggressive pass-rushing he likes to do.

Gil Brandt: I don’t think this is a reach. People were concerned about his hip, but otherwise he’s a top-10 pick. I think they got great value. Saban tried to recruit him out of high school when he was the coach at LSU.

Pat Kirwan: A very talented guy. When he ran well before the scouts, it became clear his hip was OK. One of the three safeties in this draft who can play corner. He’s fast and versatile, he can handle all kinds of matchup problems.
